Sumit Ranjan is the author of the book Applied Deep Learning and Computer Vision for Self-Driving Cars, we got the chance to sit down with him and find out more about his experience of writing with Packt.
Q: How long did it take you to write the book?
Sumit: 1.7 years.
Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?
Sumit: I did around 1 year of research before proposing to Packt.
Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?
Sumit: Packt made my journey smoother. Packt helped a lot in improving the quality of book.
Q: What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?
Sumit: Self Driving car is future and lots of engineers will be required. This book is just a starter, long way to go.
Q. How do you keep up-to-date on your tech?
Sumit: I keep on reading and exploring new technologies.

Sumit: I am planning to start a website called neuralnetwork.guru will be launched in mid September.
