Satish : Software Engineering, Software Architecture, Cloud Computing, Google Cloud
Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey. What was your motivation for writing this book?
Satish : I started as a technical reviewer and was gravitated towards contributing back to the tech world.
Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?
Satish : Lot of the work put into the book is/was done through my current company so it was a good fit on both ends.
Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?
Satish: Time is always the biggest challenge. I tried to focus and dedicate to writing the book.
Q: What’s your take on the technologies discussed in the book? Where do you see these technologies heading in the future?
Satish: The questions posed in the book will be around for a very long time. The technologies discussed in the book will stay for decades but will morph to address the technology needs and changes in the industry.
Q: Why should readers choose this book over others already on the market? How would you differentiate your book from its competition?
Satish : This book has a specific goal in mind and problem it is trying to solve. If the reader is part of a legacy application that needs to be modernized or moved to the cloud, then this is the book for them.
Q. What are the key takeaways you want readers to come away from the book with?
Satish : I want the reader to understand the ‘how’ part of the book and the pros/cons of the various options outlined in the book.
Q. What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?
Satish : Technology is fun but ever changing. The best tip I can give is that you keep learning (forever).

Viktor: There are so many sites out there and it really depends on what the readers are learning.

Satish : Yes, absolutely – Packt has been great at making this work for us who have demanding jobs.

Satish: It takes a lot of effort and dedication to focus in the areas that need your attention

Satish: The more you write, the better you learn about your style and what you need to do to accomplish the tasks.
