Interview with Rimantas Mocevicius

Rimantas Mocevicius is the author of kubectl: Command-Line Kubernetes in a Nutshell, we got the chance to sit down with him and find out more about his experience of writing with Packt.

Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey…

Rimantas: I have written my first book with Packt 5 years ago, decided to give a shot for another book

Q: How long did it take you to write the book?

Rimantas: Four months, in a free time from the work

Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?

Rimantas: Not much, as I’m familiar with topic already.

Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?

Rimantas: To decide what to write, put the content together. The actual real examples you need to think properly and test well

Q: What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?

Rimantas: Practice, practice and practice

Q. How do you keep up-to-date on your tech?

Rimantas: I never want to stop learning about them

How would you describe you author journey with Packt? Would you recommend Packt to aspiring authors?

Rimantas: As it is my second book with Pack, that tells all, and of course I recommend Packt as a publisher
