Mikael Krief is the author of Terraform Cookbook, we got the chance to sit down with him and find out more about his experience of writing with Packt.

Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey…

Mikael: Meeta Rajani, already contacted me to write a first book which is “Learning DevOps”, then I proposed my idea to write a book on Terraform in the form of a recipe.

Q: How long did it take you to write the book?

Mikael: 5 months.

Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?

Mikael: I searched on all my Terraform code projects and more research on google and social network.

Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?

Mikael: yes, it was to have a book up to date with the latest version of Terraform

Q: What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?

yes, it’s my 2nd book with Packt and it was as good an experience as the first one.
