Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey.

Joakim: I was contacted and asked if I was interested to write this book. At first I hesitated, but then I decided to give it a try, and I am happy I did.

Q: How long did it take you to write the book?

Joakim: 9 months.

Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?

Joakim: I have read several books, visited tons of web pages, and looked at many videos. I already had a good understanding of the topic as I have been teaching it for 30 years, but I needed to come up with ideas for how to best present concepts and techniques in this format.

Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?

Joakim: Covid-19! I got sick, but Packt backed me up and extended my time. I felt all the support I needed, especially from my editor.

Q: What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?

Joakim: Be curious and try out new things. Don’t give up before you understand.

Q. How do you keep up-to-date on your tech?

Joakim: I am constantly reading blogs, listening to pod casts, and view videos on the topic of programming. I see it as my job as an instructor to accumulate lots of information and then summarize the important parts in a good and clear way.

Q. How would you describe your author journey with Packt? Would you recommend Packt to aspiring authors?

Joakim: I felt so much back-up and understanding for all my issues and questions. I can absolutely recommend Packt to anyone who wants to try out writing a book.
