Q: What is/are your specialist tech area(s)?

Alin : Frontend programming.

Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey. What was your motivation for writing this book?

Alin : I’ve been contacted by Aaron regarding this cool opportunity and I’ve realised how important could this be for me and Galio. Seeing this as a great new door opened for me and my life.

Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?

Alin : I think I’ve spent something like 1 weekend researching other books and planning for how I’d like the book to be.

Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?

Alin : Yeah but I’ve just pushed myself further.

Q: What’s your take on the technologies discussed in the book? Where do you see these technologies heading in the future?

Alin : I think these technologies will become the industry standard in something like 5 years.

Q: Why should readers choose this book over others already on the market? How would you differentiate your book from its competition?

Alin : Well, it’s the only book about Galio so I think that’s enough of a difference for someone to try and buy the book.

Q. What are the key takeaways you want readers to come away from the book with?

Alin : I’d like them to understand that it’s really easy to create cross-platform mobile apps.

Q. What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?

Alin : I feel like learning anything is really easy as long as your purpose for learning that specific thing is a project or something like that.

Q. Can you share any blogs, websites and forums to help readers gain a holistic view of the tech they are learning?

Alin : https://galio.io and reddit all the way.

Q. How would you describe your author journey with Packt? Would you recommend Packt to aspiring authors?

Alin : I’ve really loved my journey with Packt, everyone was so nice and supportive, I can’t wait to have this opportunity again.

Q. What are your favorite tech journals? How do you keep yourself up to date on tech?

Alin : I don’t have any, I just follow news on Reddit.

Q. How did you organize, plan, and prioritize your work and write the book?

Alin : I’ve had a normal calendar set up with dates.

Q. What is that one writing tip that you found most crucial and would like to share with aspiring authors?

Alin : Try to get in the mood for creative writing. I’ve never actually thought that creating jokes for a programming book is going to be that hard.
