Alan Bernardo Palacio is the author of Up and Running with Azure Databricks, we got the chance to sit down with him and find out more about his experience of writing with Packt.
Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey. What was your motivation for writing this book?
Alan: I´ve approach Ali with an idea for a genetic algorithms book that later on evolved into Databricks.
Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?
Alan: One month previous was purely research.
Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?
Alan: Mostly the challenges where to keep up with the schedule.
Q. What advice would you give to readers learning tech? Do you have any top tips?
Alan: I would tell them that this is a journey to find the tools to build their own dreams, so never succumb to frustration, which actually is a sign that you are actually learning.
