Hemang Doshi is the author of CISA – Certified Information Systems Auditor Study Guide, we got the chance to sit down with him and find out more about his experience of writing with Packt.
Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey.
Hemang: I was contacted by acquisition editor Mr. Karan Gupta and he offered me this project. For me this is a huge opportunity. Editorial team at Packt made my journey smooth and memorable. We worked together and ensured that best content is developed for CISA aspirants.
Q: How long did it take you to write the book?
Hemang: Approximately 8 months.
Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?
Hemang: We wanted to create a book that caters the need of CISA aspirants with non technical background. Content was shared with few such candidates and modified again and again until we felt confident that content is digestible by non technical aspirants.
Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?
Hemang: Nothing major. It was a smooth and enriching journey. This was made possible by tireless efforts for acquisition editor, technical editor, copy write team and proofreading team. Thanks to Packt Publishing for this wonderful support.
