Q: How did you become an author for Packt? Tell us about your journey. What was your motivation for writing this book?
Alberto: I was invited to be an author via LinkedIn
Q: What kind of research did you do, and how long did you spend researching before beginning the book?
Alberto: I am constantly researching
Q: Did you face any challenges during the writing process? How did you overcome them?
Alberto: The hardest part was to always find some time every day to write and research.
Q: What’s your take on the technologies discussed in the book? Where do you see these technologies heading in the future?
Alberto: AWS will continue to be the dominant player in the cloud and cloud will continue to be a dominant technology.
Q: Why should readers choose this book over others already on the market? How would you differentiate your book from its competition?
Alberto: AWS for Solutions Architects focuses on best practices and optimal designs. It emphasizes why you should pick a certain AWS services and not necessarily how to use it. By focusing on this we can cover AWS more broadly and the reader can use other sources for implementation details.
Q. What are the key takeaways you want readers to come away from the book with?
Alberto: The reader will be able to speak with confidence about the different services that AWS has to offer and they will be able to communicate why they chose one service over another or why they designed their architecture in a certain way

Alberto: Always be curious, always be humble
